I totally believe in it. I think as a fever SOA is getting over. More importantly, criticals elements of SOA are settled as DNA for more wider concepts like BPM. So in essence SOA will not die, instead as pointed out, it will live in variety of forms and shapes that are more real-life, can produce business results and are not hyped unnecessarily. That's how I guess it should have been in the beginning itself but not sure what took all of us to this path. My guess is that premature glorification and all-sounding-right feeling led everyone to hype it up. And biggest contribution to this was the acceptance of 'non-results' since whole concepts are projected as a new thing. Thank God its over and we are back on the track with serious stuff....SOA still might be living...as it should have been....
